I love newborn studio photography sessions, but to be honest, I have been doing some creative soul searching and discovered that I wanted more of that family interaction that I adore from our newborn lifestyle sessions. That being said, I was so grateful that my friend let me pilot what I call family oriented newborn posing (for now). The goal is to pose the baby using family members as "props" rather than me spending 2 hours alone setting up the baby in various buckets, bowls, and backdrops. The session still features the newborn alone in a few props more on the minimalist side. (Notice this minimalist, natural baby posing in the first set of photographs.) So, I set out to re-arrange my photography studio to foster and capture more family interaction and I am beyond delighted with the end result! You'll notice the newborn mosed in Mom's hands and chest in a natural and nurturing manner as well as the proud expression on Dad's face as he held his second baby boy! Then finally, you'll see the sibling love between big brother and baby brother as the toddler had space to crawl and play while the newborn was safely close by.
Check out this beautiful studio newborn session that was the result of a rather relaxed atmosphere! I am beyond grateful for friends and family along my journey who have allowed me to experiment with my creative expression. Also, don't forget to go back and checkout this beautiful Mama's maternity photo session a couple of months ago. She was just as stunning at her newborn session as the maternity session and their toddler and Dad brought their same charming smiles and relaxed yet, playful spirits!
