If you have done any research into newborn photography, you will see almost all studio newborn photographers recommending to take the baby's photos when she is less than 2 weeks old. The reason for this is to ensure that the baby is very sleepy for newborn posing and stays asleep as poses are transitioned. But, as the well known phrase goes "every baby is different" is so true for newborn photography as well. Lexi Meadows Photography focuses more on authentic and natural baby posing and set-ups so that baby can be asleep or awake during her newborn session. We still want 'em young, but can work with whatever mood baby is in due to "keep it simple and organic" mantra. This little girl was so excited for her session that she was awake for most of it. Mom and Dad were so happy to be able to capture her beautiful eyes, expressions, and personality even at this young age! So, my main advice for parents is to relax and know that we can handle all the scenarios! We will help you be prepared for the session as well as guide you during the session so just enjoy your snuggles :)
