When my friend reached out to me for her family pictures, she left me with a fun challenge for family photos in the city. She said, we're just more city people then sunset field folk :) I'm both new to Houston and a Houston native (i.e. grew up here, but moved away for over a decade). Since I had just been back in Houston for a few weeks, I set about scouring the city for a fun location with a modern/urban feel, but still lent itself to light and airy photography.
Since my husband is amazing, he drove me around downtown so I could keep my eye out for that perfect spot! We were calling it a day and as we started to drive away from the museum district, I shouted, just wait go back! And Lo and Behold, we found this beautiful free outdoor museum in the middle of the Houston Arts District. I thought this is perfect for my friend's modern family photography session!
