Using Florals in Newborn Photography

I love finding ways to create works of art during your newborn photography session while preserving the focus on the delicate baby details. One way we create unique newborn imagery is by adding florals into the props for your newborn session. You will see in the example images below that greenery and florals can be used for both baby girls and baby boys to create simple, yet beautiful final photos of your baby. Lexi Meadows Photography will design a custom floral wreath to use during your newborn photo shoot for a soft and modern final product! Our favorite floral to use is eucalyptus for it's soft coloring and whispy edges.

The goal with using florals in your photography as with any prop is to accent the subject, the baby, and not take away from the memories you are trying to preserve with newborn and baby milestone photography. We looked for well balanced images by placing the florals in symmetrical patterns or opposing patterns. We keep the backdrops and swaddles neutral for a modern touch and to avoid conflicting or distracting colors and patterns.
